This Yakfest had a wide range in weather as the temperature range was a brisk 43° up to a gorgeous 79°. Mark pedaled across the park and Guy got in several long hikes. Once again Buck brought the traveling bar much to our enjoyment. We dined out in West Virginia at Dee Jay's and had excellent ribs. Lunch at Cole's and breakfast at Lu-Lou's. We saw three exciting World Series games.
We again had an embarrassment of riches for meals. The Kraken made Alton Brown pot roasts, Dave made Patty Melts, Guy prepared his beloved Wedding Soup, the Old Man mad borscht and soda bread, Greek rice pudding, butternut squash soup, oven-dried pumpkin seeds and the world's best gum drops. Guy made all breakfasts ad the old man made omelettes with pepper, cheese, onion, and parsley. Ma Conn once again provided us with dozens of delicious cookie including a new white chocolate pistachio cookie!
