The Kracken Breaks Down

After 30 long years Paul finally admitted that he didn't hope the Old Man dies first.Or that's how we interpret his statement of “I love you.” Perhaps we'll chalk this up due to his emotional state so soon after to his father's recent passing. We raised our glasses to offer a toast to Gene.

Misc
A normal temperature range for March: Temperature range had a high of 68° and a low dropping down to 37°. Mark G. rented a kayak at the lake livery and paddled around the lake. The Old Man made Martini and Manhattans before dinners. Thanks to Buck for the booze and glassware. Eagle sightings near the cabin despite the full cover of fall leaves, a beautiful sight. A few fires were built and made because of the fair weather.

Chow
Another ridiculous amount of food: Ma Conn’s cookies, Clint's Beans (Dave), pasta sauce from Guy, a giant hamburger made by Mark G., shrimp, Hatteras clam chowder (Guy), Lentil soup (Old Man), waffles (Dave), fancy grilled cheese (Mark G,), pulled pork (Old Man), smokehouse beans (Old Man), brats & fried greens (Guy & the Kraken) and more.

We ate a few meals out again: at Cole's Pub, home of the $7 Coor's Light and Sunday breakfast once again at Janoski’s Farm.
