Stately Yakfest Manor was again the venue for Yakfest 50. The event ran from Wednesday, March 7 to Monday, March 12, 2012 at Raccoon Creek State Park. Once again we had good weather (except for Thursday). Good weather for walks, bocce, fires and trips. Temperature Range: high temp 68°F, Low temp 23°F. Thanks to Vince for buying the cake for YF 50.
Yakfest: The Next Generation… Sean brought his son Steve to Yakfest on Saturday and we found that he fit right in. The youngster began playing bocce, eating donuts, playing cards and eating pork. He's a natural!
Chow... Another embarrassment of riches: Dave's parsley soup and chili, Mark's pulled pork, scratch pancakes, soda bread, macaroni & cheese and delicious root beer ice cream, Guy's wedding soup and Broccoli with garlic, The Kraken's veal brats and Ma Conn's cookies.
Attendance list: Uncle Vince, Buck the Gatekeeper, Sean (and son), Dave, Guy, Mark C. and Paul Muthafucka Conn as the Kraken.
