Stately Yakfest Manor was again the venue for Yakfest 48. The event ran from Thursday, March 10 to Monday, March 14, 2011 at Raccoon Creek State Park. The weather ran the gamut from clear skies with moderate temperature to pouring rain to heavy snow. Typical March madness of the non-basketball variety. Range: 34-61°.We watched Inception... or is that experienced it?
And for the very first time we watched Patton - just to make Vince happy.
Chow... No pasta on Saturday as Steve made a delicious gumbo chock full of seafood and sausage. New soups: butternut squash and broccoli. French toast and homemade pancakes (with blueberries) for breakfast. The Old Man made vanilla and maple pecan ice cream. Of course, Paul brought Ma Conn's cookies, and we are ever grateful.
