Stately Yakfest Manor was the lovely setting for Yakfest 45. Beautiful weather is an understatment. Clear skies day and night, with sunshine in the mid-60s during the day and cool good sleeping weather at night. A perfect weekend for throwing the football, playing basketball, hiking and bocce. Guy and Dave used Mark's cedar porch, removed at 75+ years, for firewood. One match lit on Friday started a fire that lasted until Sunday night.
Chow... Spicy Peanut soup from Guy was very good. Guy also cooked breakfast each day. Mark was busy as he made a pile of roasts on Friday and then pasta sauce on Saturday. Frech fries hand cut and fried by Mark on Thursday (with Dave burgers) and Sunday. As always, we appreicate the efforts of the cooks. Thanks again to Ma Conn for the cookies!
